Course Overview

Duration: 11 days (3 days e-learning, 8 days training course)

      • Pre-training course e-learning:  3 days minimum

Prerequisites:

      • Accessible to anyone who has reached the age of majority in his/her country of origin.
      • Have completed CA Lvl 1-2-3 e-learning pre-training course.
      • Be in good mental and physical condition.
      • Swimming: 50m and running 500m.
      • Medical certificate issued less than three months prior to the training course, testifying that the trainee is physically and mentally fit for canyoning activities.

Objective:

The program allows you to organize canyoning excursions and to maneuver with technical skills within, up-to moderate risk canyons. Use and employ technical rigging techniques, ascending progression, passing knots, conversations, rescue techniques, rope cutting, rescue management, horizontal and vertical progression, white water canyoning management, hydrology, managing a team, group and personal equipment are just some of the skills taught on this course.

The course maximum number is 6 trainees.
You will become a member of ICOpro with great skills to become independent in moderate risk canyons anywhere in the world.

Price
The price for the course is £940. We are happy to offer a payment plan, and take payments up to one month before the start of the course.
Participant Record
The Participant Record is a registration document for the course which includes the Contract and Cancellation Policies, and it is attached to this email. It is mandatory to complete this Participant Record and return it to The Canyoning Company prior to making any payment.
 
Payment 
To complete registration for the course, we require a deposit of 25% of the total course fee. This would amount to £234. This deposit is non refundable based on the conditions outlined in the attached “Participant Record”
Full payment for the course must be completed at least 1 month (30 days) prior to the start of the course.
For the CA123 course, The Canyoning Company will accept cash, check, bank transfer, or pay pal transfer (if paying from outside the UK).
Equipment:
The Canyoning Company, as the course organizer, will provide all the necessary equipment for the course. This includes wetsuit, boots, helmet, harness, and other technical equipment. You are welcome to bring some of your own equipment, but this must be inspected prior to use during the course, and it must be in congruence with ICOpro standards and curriculum. You can contact us directly with any equipment questions.
Equipment provided to you during the course will be available for purchase after the course at a very good discounted rate.
Transportation
During the course, all transport will be provided by The Canyoning Company. We will also offer a complimentary pick-up/drop-off to/from Edinburgh or Glasgow air port.
