Advanced Canyoning

These canyons are suitable for people who are at an intermediate level. These canyons can involve more technical rope work which means some experience abseiling is important. The canyons in this category may have big jumps or long abseils. Some of these canyons may be more specific to one element of progression, such as the Tummel canyon has no jumps or slides, but is full of abseils and ziplines. The approach to the canyons can be up to 40 minutes of uphill walking. Advanced canyons can be more commiting which means the ability to walk out of the canyon can be reduced due to its depth or steep walls. These canyons can last 2 - 3 hours in the canyon.
