A Location so unique for canyoning. We will spend most of our time in the remote Catur Valley, in Kubutambahan, Northeast Bali. This location is so special that has managed to stay under the radar despite the booming tourism industry in Bali. A valley filled with majestic and impressive never-before-seen waterfalls, with thick and lush jungle that covers its narrow and steep ridges of the abundant canyons and gorges located in this forgotten place.
Join our team as we immerse ourselves in the culture and adventure Bali has to offer. We will be based in Ubud the capital for spiritualism and adventure. Based at our jungle villa we will take daily trips out to the wild and remote canyons on the island. This tour is so unique we have decided to throw in some extras too. Not only will we explore the lush volcanic canyons, we will trek to the top of Mt. Abang one of the volcanos on Bali demanding exquisite views over the island. We will also soak up the vibrant surf culture with our final night in a beach side villa in Canngu.
The canyoning in Bali is unique. Most of the canyons cut their way deep through the jungle valleys. The air temperature this time of year is around 30 degrees and the water temperature sit at a warm 16 – 18 degrees. There will be no need for thick wetsuits. Due to late afternoon tropical rain we will start our canyoning days early. Some of the canyons we will explore will be Anahata, Tamata and Kerenkail canyon. They have been developed over the years by a small ICOpro team and hold hidden waterfalls, jumps and slides perfect to get any adventurer buzzing. We plan to finish the trip with the huge canyon of fire. A canyon rarely guided with few descents due to its deep and wild nature. This is a trip not to be missed.
On your trip to Bali you will be accompanied by Ben Case an ICOpro Instructor and experienced international canyoneer and guide. Along with George Yates an ICOpro Senior trainer and experienced guide. Both are the owners and founders of the canyoning company and have unrivalled experience in the UK for leading international canyoning tours and expeditions. We will also be accompanied by a local guide, and world-renowned canyoning photographer and ICOpro Senior trainer Gustavo Schiavon who is based in Bali.
Photos and Video
We know that you will want the best picture and videos of your trip. That’s why we will be
accompanied by Gus, who’s canyoning pictures and videos have been featured in National Geographic, Nikon promotions and much more. Gus teaches the unique ICOpro canyoning photographer course and has expert skill with a camera in these awesome environments.
Fitness & Skill level
To get the most out of this awesome trip we advise you to have been out canyoning with us before and completed your CAI. We will also offer you a complimentary canyoning day trip here in Scotland, where we will run through some extra skills required for the tour. For the Bali canyoning trip we advise you have a good level of fitness. Some of the canyons involve a 1-hour steep hike to access the top, and some jungle trekking. That said you don’t have to be an athlete!! On all the hikes we take in the scenery, take lots of breaks. If you have any concerns or questions about fitness or skill level, please contact us.
