This two-day workshop is designed for experienced recreational and professional canyoneers. This course is a great add on to the white-water canyoning workshop. The course will be focused on vertical rescue, scenarios on rope in waterfalls, vertical foot entrapment, stabilisation and direct rescue techniques. The workshop is designed for canyon leaders who may be required to perform vertical rescue in swift water.

The workshop will be delivered by George Yates (ICOpro Senior Trainer) and Ben Case (ICOpro Instructor).

Day 1

Vertical rescue - On to the ropes with converting fixed to releasable systems, double releasable systems, vertical direct rescues, stabilisation techniques, self-rescue, rope cutting, ascending in the flow.

Day 2 

Canyon crossings (Tyroleans), Vertical foot entrapment drills, Scenarios

N.B White water advanced canyoning workshop is an intermediate to advanced level workshop. You must be able to ascend rope and be very comfortable in swift water. You must be minimum 18 years old.
