Dundonnel Canyon gets even the most experienced Scottish Canyoners buzzing. This is as pure and thrilling as canyoning gets in Scotland. You will be part of a real canyoning team as this canyon has only a handful of descents and can still throw unexpected challenges at you.

Dundonnel cuts its way down a deep glen, creating some of the most stunning canyon features we have seen in Scotland. This canyon requires full-on commitment; after the first abseil you are in and the adventure begins. With technical rope work, sumps and sheer sided slot drops your heart will be racing and the adrenaline flowing. This canyon commands huge jumps, long wet abseils and narrow swims.

This trip is a full day but we would recommend it as part of a weekend trip due to its location. Previous canyoning experience is essential and a very good sense of adventure is required.

If you are looking to engage fully and be in the present moment, enjoying life to the fullest, then this is the experience for you. Travelling on my own I joined a mixed group with varying experience levels for a phenomenal week in the Pyrenees. The canyoning company team did an excellent job of making sure everyone had a brilliant time and gelled as a group. Canyon choice was perfect with an individual level of instruction tailored to suit everyone's needs. Accommodation was fantastic with high end local food and wine throughout. Sustainable integration with in country support staff provided a solid cultural component and truly immersive and authentic experience. All equipment provided was of superb quality and transfers made for a smooth experience from door to door. Would highly recommend getting involved with what will be expernces that last a lifetime. I had never tried canyoning and now I have already planned 2 weekends with friends in my country. Amelia and Rory were great. The 2 only things I would have made different is, first take a longer and higher level course because it was so cool but too short. And second I would have taken my outdoor sports camera to take more pictures especially of the scenery. If you have gears you take for rafting, canoeing or rock-climbing you can definitely take it canyoning without any worry. I'll more than likely come back to Scotland to explore more of it and this will be a must do for sure every time. Thank you guys JM read less
