Big jumps, fast slides, zip lines and a breath taking 90-meter multi-pitch abseil to finish. From our experience this is the BEST and most technical commercial canyon in the UK. This canyon delivers on adventure, commitment and gives you a high dose of adrenaline.

To undertake this epic trip, it is important you have been canyoning before or completed the ICOPRO CAI. Oh and a good head for heights is essential. The Grey Mares is one of our favourite canyoning trips here in Scotland, everyone needs to experience it!

Travelling on my own I joined a mixed group with varying experience levels for a phenomenal week in the Pyrenees. The canyoning company team did an excellent job of making sure everyone had a brilliant time and gelled as a group. Canyon choice was perfect with an individual level of instruction tailored to suit everyone's needs. Accommodation was fantastic with high end local food and wine throughout. Sustainable integration with in country support staff provided a solid cultural component and truly immersive and authentic experience. All equipment provided was of superb quality and transfers made for a smooth experience from door to door. Would highly recommend getting involved with what will be expernces that last a lifetime. I had never tried canyoning and now I have already planned 2 weekends with friends in my country. Amelia and Rory were great. The 2 only things I would have made different is, first take a longer and higher level course because it was so cool but too short. And second I would have taken my outdoor sports camera to take more pictures especially of the scenery. If you have gears you take for rafting, canoeing or rock-climbing you can definitely take it canyoning without any worry. I'll more than likely come back to Scotland to explore more of it and this will be a must do for sure every time. Thank you guys JM read less
