Our Team

George and Ben are the Co-Founders and Directors of The Canyoning Company, bringing a combined wealth of experience across the outdoor industry and a shared passion for adventure on the water and in the mountains. George has been immersed in adventure sport from a young age and, as a qualified kayak coach, rafting guide and canyoning instructor, has travelled widely while helping shape the UK canyoning scene. Ben is a multi-activity instructor with 20 years in the industry, blending strong mountain skills with a love of moving water, and has explored canyons across the world.

Together, they sit at the leading edge of canyoning training and development in the UK. Both are UK Canyoning Association Senior Trainers and V7 Academy founders, with George also an ICOpro Senior Trainer and Ben an ICOpro Instructor 2.

Amelia has been part of The Canyoning Company for the past five years. During that time, she has honed her skills and expanded her knowledge to become the highest-qualified female canyoning guide in the UK. She has completed seasons in both Scotland and New Zealand and has explored canyons all over the world. As our Operations Manager, Amelia keeps everything running smoothly and everyone in line. With her background in parkour coaching, she moves through the canyon like a ninja. Rory is the Head Guide at The Canyoning Company and has also been with us for five years. He has a strong background in climbing, mountaineering, and pretty much anything outdoors, bringing a huge depth of experience to every trip. These are the guides you’re most likely to meet out in the canyon.

Their combined expertise means guests and trainees benefit from world-class instruction, deep local knowledge, and a commitment to delivering safe, memorable experiences in Scotland’s wildest places.
