Immerse yourself in the Scottish Highlands and the world of canyoning

Join us to explore some of the best canyons on the West Coast of Scotland. The Extreme Canyoning Tour is based in the beautiful glens around Kinlochleven close to Fort William.

On this tour you will experience some of the most adventurous canyons Scotland has to offer, immerse yourself in an unforgettable weekend of adventure.

You will be accompanied by the owners of The Canyoning Company Ben and George who will give you an insight to the world of canyoning.

We have spent years canyoning both recreationally and professionally all over the world but we always find ourselves returning to Scotland. Our experience and knowledge of Scotland's canyons is unmatched and we want to share our passion and this amazing experience with you.

We don't strive to be the biggest but we are passionate about being the best. We will offer you the best equipment and the most experienced and qualified guides in Scotland. Our knowledge of the local area means we can take you to the best places to grab a bite to eat, or after a day in the canyons we know some of the best Scottish pubs for a cold beer or a wee dram of whisky.

Our mission is to share our passion. Along the way you will learn new canyoning skills and refine the ones you already have to become a competent team member. Learn how to abseil yourself safely, lock off, manage equipment, inspect jumps and work as a team. The final canyon will be the mighty Grey Mare's Tail canyon; one of the most advanced canyons in Scotland ending with a multi-pitch 90-meter abseil.

If you have never experienced canyoning in Scotland you're in for an epic adventure. Scottish canyoning is super fun, in most canyons there is a mixture of jumps, slides and abseils. In some of the more extreme canyons there can be a good flow of water which creates some really fun features. As we are in Scotland the canyons are rarely warm, but that's why we supply you with super warm wetsuits and equipment.

This is an adventurous trip, we ask you to have a good level of fitness and a good head for heights. Preferably you will have been canyoning before, or have some experience abseiling.

There are some great places to stay in Fort William or Kinlochleven (closer to the canyons). If you’re looking for a home away from home where you can relax in your own space, then self-catering is the way to go! In Scotland the options for this accommodation type are endless, with apartments, lodges, holiday parks, cottages, hostels and even castles available to choose from. Accommodation can be booked by yourself or we can include it in your booking, contact us for more information.
